Valparaiso advances to Phase 4 of the Opening Phase
The Ministry of Health (Minsal), during the day of Monday, August 2nd, announced new modifications to the quarantines of the new Step by Step Plan in the framework of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, in which it was indicated that the port city advances to Phase 4 of Opening. The measure is due to the fact that Valparaiso meets the appropriate epidemiological criteria for the area.
These modifications will be established as of this Wednesday, August 04 at 05:00 hours, maintaining the curfew schedule (00:00 - 05:00 hours).
What is allowed in phase 4 of Opening?
There are six changes and / or modifications to consider in aspects such as general displacement, face-to-face attention to the public, attention to the public in restaurants, activities without interaction between attendees, also activities with interaction between attendees and finally urban park or green areas. The following is the detail of the information:
1. General displacement
- No travel restrictions
- For interregional travel, a health passport is required.
- It is not allowed to travel to communes in Phase 1, only from transition onwards.
2. Face-to-face service to the public
In open and closed places, such as: Museums, exhibitions, stores, etc.
- Allowed during the whole week.
- The total capacity must comply with the calculation of 1 person every 8 m2 of total area.
- At least 3 persons are always allowed inside.
3. Attention to the public restaurants
- Allowed during the whole week
- Closed Spaces: Mobility pass must be presented, 2m distance between tables must be maintained and ventilation standards must be met.
- Open Spaces: Attendance with and without mobility pass, maintain 2m space between tables.
4. Activities without interaction between attendees
Example: Cinemas, theaters, circuses, seminars.
- Allowed throughout the week.
- Capacity of 1 person per 2 m2 of usable area.
- Closed Spaces: Maximum 250 people without mobility pass, or maximum 1000 people with mobility pass and enclosure ventilation standards.
- Open Spaces: Maximum 500 people, or 5,000 with mobility pass.
Consideration: Attendees must stay in one place, distance of at least 1 meter between participants must be maintained. Attendees and suppliers must wear face masks at all times and no food may be consumed.
5. Activities with interaction between attendees
Around activities where attendees do not maintain a fixed location, do not maintain 1m of distance, where the mask may not be used permanently or where eating food is allowed.
Example: Social activities, food fairs.
- Allowed throughout the week.
- Capacity of 1 person per 6 m2 of total surface area.
- Enclosed Spaces: Maximum 100 people or 250 if all present their mobility pass and comply with ventilation standards.
- Open or outdoor spaces: Maximum 250 people or 1,000 people if everyone has a mobility pass.
6. Urban parks or wilderness areas
- Allowed throughout the week.
- 1 meter distance between people.
